Hey Amanda - I watched about ten minutes of your video film last night, and liked it - you captured some great little episodes with a few playing to the camera, and had to laugh when I saw Jez scowling at you.
I'm planning to pop back for another look, probably on Saturday when it'll be a bit quieter.
Yep, I'm coming to the Thursday night opening at Trent - I'll check your stuff out.
After that I'm off to Ange Taggarts event in a veggie cafe in Lenton - should be fun!
Hello Amanda - glad you liked that portrait photo of me - it was taken by Graham Lester George - he's into street photograohy and portraits like you.

By the way - I really liked looking at your photos - great stuff! Mind you, I don't know how you get away with it sometimes - it looks like some people might take offence - don't you get thumped?

What is your current practice?
My work is concerned with exploring perception and autonomy, identity and anonymity through lens based portraiture. By deploying still and moving image, I explore how technology and popular culture affect our everyday life, our social interaction through to our own self-awareness. Abstraction & extraction are used as a strategy to remove assumed, familiar narratives - opening a new space for interpretation. Exploring the interplay between the individual’s public and private space, creating paradoxical, ambiguous work that pursue a line of social and cultural inquiry for artist, subject and viewer.
