AirSpace Gallery: Graduate Residency

AirSpace Gallery invite graduating students from BA Fine Art courses to apply for the exciting new graduate support scheme being introduced in 2012.

Are you a student about to graduate?

Are you considering staying in, or moving to Stoke-on-Trent, and looking for that all important first opportunity in the art world? Then this could be for you.

AirSpace is offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting and innovative artist led space in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, providing support and guidance in those all-important first months out of higher education, to one burgeoning artist.

What we offer:

- A studio space (7' X 9') within the AirSpace building for 6 months (rent free - lease permitting) from July 2012 - Jan 2013.

- Monthly support meetings with gallery directors to check on progress and help in developing new works and accessing opportunities.

- Your first solo show at the end of the 6 months period within the AirSpace Gallery.

- Access to all studio facilities and support structures for 6 months, and an opportunity to get involved in the AirSpace studio project.

How to apply:

Please send max. 1000 words setting out: why you are right for this opportunity, how you would approach the 6 months in terms of research and development towards your first solo show, plus provide some details about your current work and ideas for involvement with the gallery and studio. Include any weblinks, and a max 5 images (2mb each) by Monday, May 28th to [e-mail]

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to AirSpace to present their proposals in person week beginning. 18th June.

Successful applicant will be notified by Monday, 25th June.
