Akademie Schloss Solitude
On July 2, 2012, the current application round of Akademie Schloss Solitude started. Until October 31, 2012, candidates can apply for a fellowship in the "art, science & business" program of the academy. Fellowships are awarded to young scientists, scholars, and people from the business world in the fields of humanities, jurisprudence/labor law, and economy/economics. Furthermore, the academy is offering the second time fellowships for young chess players. Applicants can apply with individual work topics or a project related to the new central theme »Chronicles of Work«. The top-level jury deciding about the fellowships includes Seda Gürses (Exact Sciences, with this year‘s focus on computer science, human computer interaction, electrical engineering, information systems, information science, and free and open source software), Enrique Irazoqui (Chess), Sarat Maharaj (Humanities), and Akseli Virtanen (Economy/Economics)

Application deadline is Wednesday, October 31, 2012 (Postmark).
