Bilborough library, Nottingham City Library & Information Service, will be 80 years old in January 2010. We are looking for engaging visual artwork in any form which would celebrate libraries or the local community. .
The artwork might be inside the library or outside but within the library grounds. It would be a permentant piece of art and could form part of the fabric of the building such as railings.
Send in a short proposal outlining concept and example visuals (including a photo of your recent work) to give an idea of your work.
Commission details:
• All ages and abilities are welcome to submit artwork
• Artwork must be visual, no size restriction
• Artworks if selected will need to be completed and ready to exhibit
• Commissions will be awarded by the selection panel of staff & councillors.
Commission Fees
Commission of £4,000 to include all creation and installation costs
Ideally the piece would be ready for the celebration in January but this could be negotiated if proposals are ready for display.
