You will be required to deliver YMCA youth programmes and activities that engage young people in the local community, based around music, digital media and the arts. The activities are designed to meet the needs of the young people in the local community, promoting an informal learning environment that engages young people through conversation, activities and the digital arts.
You will have experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds, and of engaging young people through a working knowledge of community arts, digital arts, music and media. You should have experience in some or all of the following: musical instruments and theory, digital music and recording, radio broadcast, animation, arts and / or graffiti art. You will have training / qualifications relevant to youth work and community arts and digital media/music, as well as a solid foundation in basic education, literacy numeracy.
This post is subject to a CRB check at an Enhanced level, of which the organisation will meet the cost.
