Davenports Magic, Underground Gallery and associated creative sociable businesses are changing - and have an opportunity for an entry level or experienced co-ordinator/associate to join in the innovative and exciting developments. She/he would contribute and strengthen our brand across our ecology of increasingly integrated, joined up creative social businesses.
We are adventurous, reflective, warm hearted and driven.
This is a big job with a small salary to start with. You are encouraged to make use of our space for any personal projects you may have.
We currently engage with magic and the circus arts, the visual and performing arts, retail of magic, and related merchandise, talks, workshops, exhibitions and mini summits, boutique creative publishing etc.
Our resources, including our physical spaces and interdisciplinary know-how, are also actively utilised by a wide array of individuals and institutions on a fee-paying or consultancy basis.
Our ideal appointment would be sociable, engaging, enterprising, curious, proactive, enthusiastic, personable, well organised, self motivated with a strong sense of customer service. The ability to work with an open brief is vital.
We are running two open days on Friday and Saturday 22nd and 23rd June 2012 from 10am until 1pm, and ideally you should be able to attend the whole of at least one of them.
RSVP to us at bill@davenportsmagic.co.uk as we want to make sure we save a space for you. These two days are intended to be fun, inspiring and worth giving up your valuable time to attend.
Please note that we welcome applications regardless of whether you are able to attend these sessions. See below for details.
Please email us at bill@davenportsmagic.co.uk with your CV and a covering letter which can ramble or cover as much ground as you wish. Closing date 24th June 2012.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews at mutually convenient times the week starting 25th June 2012.
