As part of its focus on lithography, Leicester Print Workshop is offering a post-graduate level Lithography Internship.
The selected printmaker will access high quality teaching and support from our expert lithographer, Serena Smith and will join our community of printmakers. Through regular attendance at our studio, our intern will have the opportunity to learn, practice, experiment and create to gain substantial knowledge and technical proficiency.
The internship will comprise one to one teaching; shadowing all lithography workshops; regular use of the studio and they will play a role in LPW’s lithography housekeeping.
Criteria
We are looking for an ambitious, post graduate level printmaker with clear vision and initiative who is on a definite trajectory, set on pursuing a career in fine art printmaking.
The intern will commit at least two days a week and they should be ready to take full advantage of all the internship has to offer.
To begin in October/November and to run for 12 months, we would expect the intern to view it with the same commitment one might view an MA.
The successful applicant will have a fine art degree with print or a printmaking degree or high level experience. They should have had some exposure to lithography.
Deadline for entries: 31st August 2012
