Event Description

Lucy Stevens’ new piece of work for the grounds is an audio guide with a difference; it might almost be a soundtrack for the Castle’s outdoor space.

Stevens creates ‘binaural’ soundscapes, based on careful research of a particular place and by recording audio on site over a period of weeks or months. These are woven in to a narrative that is part fact, part Stevens’ imaginings.

You can access Walk With Me by borrowing an MP3 player from the Gate House at the entrance to the Castle site, for a small (refundable) deposit; then simply follow the audio directions. The tour lasts approximately 11 minutes. Alternatively, you can download the work at www.castlewalkwithme.blogspot.com.
